Kevin Kanji is Vice President - Head of IT Risk and Assurance at Barclays Bank in Dubai, and is responsible for technology controls and information security, including overseeing global remediation programmes for Barclays Corporate. He works closely with local and international colleagues in formulating strategies for cyber defence and internal control in today's challenging security environment.
He previously held the position of Senior Programme Manager, deploying financial sanctions and global payments systems in London before moving to the UAE in 2008.
Prior to joining Barclays, Kevin was a Senior Project Manager for Citigroup, managing diverse infrastructure projects in the UK, Belgium, Germany, Spain and Sweden. He graduated with a law degree from Leeds Metropolitan University and has been involved at a technical level in information security since starting his career in banking.
