Raoul ‘Nobody’ Chiesa – after having been among the first Italian hackers from 1986 to 1995 – moved into the professional sphere by joining InfoSec and establishing Mediaservice.net Srl in 1997 – an Italian vendor-neutral international security advisory company. He left the organisation earlier this year and took the role of a Principal at a security firm.
Since 2003 he has cooperated with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute working on the Hackers Profiling Project – jointly run by the Institute for Security and Open Methodologies. Since 2005 he has been officially recognised as an Independent Senior Advisor on Cybercrime.
In February 2010, he became an Adviser and member of the European Network and Information Security Agency’s Permanent Stakeholders’ Group; a sounding board on issues concerning network and information security across the European Union.
Furthermore, by the end of 2012 he will officially launch The Security Brokers – an innovative global think-tank focused on vertical security issues, along with international networks of high-level InfoSec professionals.
He also publishes books and white papers in English and Italian as an author or contributor, and is a regular contact for worldwide media on his areas of expertise.
