Tom Burton runs BAE Systems Detica ManagedSecurity™, with responsibility for the development of capability and delivery of services that reduce his customers exposure to the threats from cyberspace. He has been central to Detica’s cyber security business since joining the company in 2006, and has had direct experience of enterprises dealing with some of the most acute incidents.
Tom builds on a decade of experience in the British Army prior to joining Detica in 2006, bringing intelligence led operational experience to the battle against cyber threats. Countering such a sophisticated, organized, well equipped and tenacious human foe demands a similarly capable defensive force; Tom has been key to building such a force, which has been effective in changing the operational context.
