SITC is a not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to supporting the development of innovative and technologically sophisticated security solutions.  SITC is now working closely with ADS to strengthen the support provided to members of both organisations.

This website provides information on SITC members and access to news, events and opportunities that are relevant to SITC members.  SITC Members can log in to access additional information and resources. OIC-CERT was conceptualised during the Knowledge and Information and Communication Technologies for Development Conference, held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Board of Governors in June 2005. It recognises that cyber incidences know no physical boundaries, and that Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) collaboration is one of the most effective ways to mitigate cyber crimes and share information.

The mission of the OIC-CERT is: “To provide a platform for member countries to explore and develop collaborative initiatives and possible partnerships in matters pertaining to cyber security that will strengthen their self-reliance in cyber space.”

Muscat chapter was established in 2000 under the sponsorship of the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) which is affiliated to the Central Bank of Oman. The chapter has a membership of 248 members today. The chapter membership also mirrors the diversity of its parent body. The chapter’s mission is to promote education for the CISA,CISM and CGEIT certifications, spread awareness of IT Goverenance, IS audit and controls, provide a framework for regular meetings and interaction amongst local IS audit and control professionals, thereby helping in raising standards and promoting best practices to manage Information technology effectively in their organizations.
